Summer Pictures

Here is a slideshow of some random pictures I have been taking. The kids and a friend had a lemonade stand a few weeks ago. Unfortunately they only had two customers that weren't family. Next time we have to try it on a weekend and it might be more profitable. I guess it didn't help that they drank 3/4 of it themselves!

oops...my mistake

Guess who isn't quite potty trained! Anna has regressed a little, which is perfectly fine, considering she isn't even three yet. She has decided to take her time.
In other news...Joey and Paulie started school last week. Tomorrow is the beginning of week two! We are using Catholic Heritage Curriculum this year and we all really like it so far. Joey is in 2nd grade and Paulie is doing some Kindergarten and some 1st grade. I have been really bad about taking pictures lately, so I will get on that this week.

Did you hear the one about the jogging American who almost got eaten by a bear while on vacation?

No kidding! Paul was jogging in Banff while we were there and almost ran into a black bear just off the trail. Very exciting, and a little scary. We all survived though. Here is a link with more pictures...and captions! Be sure to read them!

A Plethora of Pictures

Here is a link to a web-album. Some of the pictures are from home, some are from our trip to Banff. Enjoy! A couple of them are of the kids taste-testing fruits and vegetables and voting for their favorites (their idea). Others are of Paul using a ladder to pick tomatoes from our window-box.

Victory is Mine!

What can I say?! We are finally home from Paul's conference in Banff, Alberta. We had a wonderful time...swimming, wonderful food, beautiful scenery, and Paul learned a lot. You can imagine how some people react, however, when your two boys run through the lobby of a spectacular hotel like this, saying loudly, 'Victory is Mine!' Actually, just walking through the door precipitated many responses...most people were happy to see our kids and they really were fairly well behaved. Some people though, were a little disgusted to see so many kids (we only have 4!) and you could see it on their faces. It was a little sad that some people were so upset to see a couple of kids.
it wasn't all bad though...there was a nice Japanese man who came up to me and said, with a look of disbelief, 'Are these all your kids?' I said yes, and he responded with a huge grin and 'OH, you great mama!' with a Japanese accent. Very funny.
